I arrived in

After breakfast, I checked out of my hotel in Hanoi and was once again greeted by a warm, cheerful driver from Autour Asia. Halong Bay took about 3.5 hours, but with a peaceful countryside view and a quick stop for coffee, it flew by.
After a few hours, I arrived at
Halong Bay, where I boarded a mid-sized cruise ship for an overnight journey in
6-day north Vietnam itinerary. As we sailed away from the harbor, limestone karsts began to rise from the sea like ancient guardians.
The boat glided through thousands of islets, covered in mist and mystery. I explore Surprise cave (Sung Sot cave), its natural rock formations looked like something from a fantasy novel. We watched the sunset from the sundeck, with cocktails in hand and soft music playing in the background.

Day 6: Hanoi Freetime - Departure
On my last day in 6-day Hanoi Halong Sapa Fansipan, I took it slow. I returned to Hoan Kiem Lake for a final walk, passing early risers dancing, exercising, and sipping tea by the water. I visited St. Joseph’s Cathedral, with its Gothic beauty and French colonial charm.

shopping in Hanoi, to pick up last-minute gifts, spices, silk scarves, and hand-painted fans. I had my final meal at a street corner stall grilled pork with vermicelli noodles and fresh herbs.
As the plane lifted off, I looked down at Hanoi one last time, grateful and changed. Vietnam had shown me its soul in its people, its landscapes, and its everyday magic. This
