Embark on a 7-day Vietnam adventure with Ms. Kaylin as your guide. Discover Vietnam under her eyes. Uncover the essence of Vietnam through the lens of adventure travel with insights and highlights from Ms. Kaylin's exploration.
Hello, everyone! I'm Kaylin Alva, and I recently embarked on a captivating 7-day adventure in Vietnam—a dream I'd harbored since the age of 10. As an adventurous person, seeking new thrills, the allure of the Sapa motorbike loop, discovered serendipitously through a YouTube video, had long beckoned me. The dream comes true as I set foot in Vietnam, a country intricately tied to my roots, being the homeland of my mother.
Accompanied by my equally adventurous boyfriend, our tight schedule allowed us to explore only the northern reaches of Vietnam in this brief period. However, the allure of this vibrant nation ensures that I will return for further exploration. I consulted numerous agencies and read extensive feedback on the Internet. Finally, I had chosen Autour Asia, a reputable travel agency, to help me plan our adventure travel Vietnam. I got to know about it thanks to Ms. Dorris, who is associated with Autour Asia and introduced it to me.
Subsequently, I independently secured an Evisa for Vietnam, guided by the expertise of Miss Van, a travel consultant, after finalizing all service bookings and airline reservations. Touching down in Vietnam in March 2023, a time when the weather beckoned exploration, my meticulously crafted itinerary spanned 7 days and 6 nights.
Here's a brief itinerary :
- Day 1: Hanoi
- Day 2: Hanoi City Tour
- Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay - Surprise Cave
- Day 4: Halong Bay - Titov Island - Tuan Chau - Hanoi - Night train to Sapa
- Day 5: Lao Cai - Sapa - Ma Tra Village
- Day 6: Sapa - Cat Cat Village - Y Linh Ho Village - Lao Chai Village - Ta Van Village
- Day 7: Ta Van Village - Leisure time back to Sapa - Hanoi by Bus
On the first day in Hanoi, I was surprised when I was taken to the downtown massage salon. I had an opportunity to try an oriental oil massage, which rejuvenated me and eliminated fatigue after a long flight. On the second day in Hanoi, I visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and One Pillar Pagoda. As my boyfriend is a history and cultural enthusiast, we continued to pay a visit to the Temple of Literature and the Ethnology Museum in the early afternoon. At night, we enjoyed a traditional water puppetry show together. We concluded our two days in Vietnam adventure with great pleasure! I stayed at San Boutique Hanoi in Hanoi, where I enjoyed a great view of the city from above.
The most surprising part of my trip was when I stayed on the Indochina Sails Premium cruise. It was fantastic! The ship was elegant and had a classy, Indochinese feel. What made it even better was that they didn't play loud music like some other cruises. The group of guests was just the right size, making us feel special. A thanks to the staff for taking good care of us. The timing for our island visits was perfect, and it felt like we had the whole island to ourselves before the day-trip tours arrived. They really went above and beyond to make the journey wonderful. The food was very good, and the prices for drinks were reasonable for a cruise. I adore everything about it and would definitely recommend it ! Engage in thrilling Vietnam adventure activities, such as kayaking under the night lights for a fun-filled evening together. My favorite activity, though, was the interesting night squid fishing.
A little sharing of our experience in Sapa. We chose to do a two-day of the North Vietnam trekking through the rice fields to discover the ethnic minorities living around Sapa and enjoy the wonderful landscapes this region offers. In our Vietnam adventure, the third day was completely organized and tailored to our request. We appreciated that Miss Van created a program that adapts to our desires. We learned a lot about the region, whether it's about minorities, fauna and flora, or how rice fields work. I stayed in a homestay, and the family there took really good care of us. They even made pancakes for breakfast. The food during our trek was also delicious. I wish I had more time to enjoy Vietnam because it's so fantastic!
Once again, this trek allowed us to see the kindness of the Vietnamese people and the courage they show. It's a true eye-opener for us fortunate French travelers. We can only say thank you, thank you for these seven fantastic days - My
