The Quan Ba Twin Mountain (Vietnamese name: Núi Đôi Quản Bạ), also known as the Fairy Mountain (Núi Đôi Cô Tiên), is located southwest of the Dong Van Karst Plateau, nearly 50 km north of Ha Giang city center. The locals call this “Twin Mountain” because there are two parallel mountains standing out amid the surrounding limestone ranges and rice terraces.
The sound of his flute was compared to the singing of birds, resonating throughout the forest and deeply touching the Cherry Blossom Fairy (Vietnamese name: Hoa Đào). She was known among humans as the most beautiful of the heavenly fairies. The Cherry Blossom Fairy found a way to descend to earth and married the Hmong man. After a year together, she gave birth to an adorable boy.
However, their marriage was forbidden by the Jade Emperor. The Cherry Blossom Fairy was taken back to the sky to be punished. Out of love for her newborn child, she left her breast on earth to nourish her son. Her breast later transformed into the twin mountains located in the Quan Ba valley.
The locals call these mountains the Fairy Twin Mountain in gratitude to the Cherry Blossom Fairy for bringing so many blessings to the inhabitants. Thanks to her milk, this region remains cool all year round, and the plants here produce many flowers and delicious fruits.

The Quan Ba Twin Mountain is located approximately 52 km north of downtown Ha Giang. Therefore, visitors can reach this destination by motorcycle or car. They will follow the fastest route which passes through Nguyen Trai, National Route 2, and National Route 4C.
Afterwards, they will continue for a few kilometers past Bac Sum Pass and will see the Quan Ba Twin Mountain right in front of them. The travel time is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.It is advisable to bring snacks and water, as there will be very few shops along the way.
It is also recommended to wear sports shoes for easier exploration of mountains and hills.
If traveling in summer, you should bring sunscreen and sunglasses, as the sun in Vietnam is very strong.
