4-day Mekong Delta journey, our adventure began with a departure from
Ho Chi Minh City to Ben Tre in southern Vietnam, a beautiful and enchanting place where coconut trees abound, and every corner of the region exudes tranquility. Upon our arrival, a boat ride along the Ben Tre River immersed us in an authentic and peaceful world, where we could observe the daily lives of the locals. Riding bikes through these remote villages, observing locals going about their tasks under the palm trees and rice fields, gave me a rare sense of calm and completeness.

Day 3: Tra Vinh - Sa Dec - Long Xuyen
On the third day of our
4-day Mekong Delta trip, after a typical local breakfast, we hopped on bikes to explore even more remote Khmer villages, riding through nursery fields and small rural roads. The locals always welcomed us with incredible simplicity and warmth, which really made me feel connected to this peaceful world. The discovery of
Huynh Thuy Le ancient house in Sa Dec, a splendid building at the crossroads of Eastern and Western influences, was a true feast for the eyes. This house, full of charm and history, immersed us in the atmosphere of the early 19th century, allowing us to experience the sweetness of life from that time.
Visiting Sa Dec market as part of our 4-day Mekong Delta itinerary was a sensory experience, with the scents of spices and local fruits, the vivid colors, and the lively sounds. It was a vibrant and dynamic place where we truly felt the authenticity of the region. We then continued our journey to Long Xuyen - An Giang, making stops at even more fascinating sites, such as a crocodile farm. Each stop added a new dimension to our adventure, bringing a variety of cultural and natural discoveries.
In Long Xuyen, we took the time to relax, enjoying the peacefulness of the place before continuing our journey. This Mekong Vietnam 4-day tour offered us a complete immersion into local life, full of exploration, encounters, and moments of serenity.
Day 4: Long Xuyen - Ho Chi Minh City. End of our trip
On the final day of our 4-day Mekong Delta trip, we had the opportunity to discover the Long Xuyen floating market early in the morning, still untouched by mass tourism and thus incredibly authentic and lively. On the river, hundreds of boats moved around exchanging fresh products, fruits, and vegetables in abundance. The atmosphere was magical and proud, with the vivid colors of the fruits and the soft morning light making the experience unique and unforgettable.
After this discovery, we continued our boat ride through fish farms before arriving at
Cu Lao Ong Ho island, where we visited a small museum dedicated to our former president. This was a calm and reflective moment that allowed us to close our
Mekong Delta adventure in a beautiful way. The end of the day brought us to a stop at Sa Dec, where the flower fields greeted us with an explosion of colors and scents. The experience was comforting and enriching, a perfect memory to end our journey through this Mekong region. We then returned to Saigon for the next leg of our travels, but the memories of our 4 days in the Mekong Vietnam remain with us.
