What To Do In Vientiane In 3 Days ? Review 3 Days In Vientiane, Laos From Mrs Jones

Hello, I'm Jennifer Jones, just embarking on my whirlwind adventure through the captivating land of Laos with the support of Autour Asia, a reputable travel company. Allow me to share the mesmerising tapestry of sights, sounds and experiences that unfolded during my 3 Days in Vientiane Itineraries, trip to the heart of Southeast Asia.

1. Day 1: Pha That Luang - Patuxay monument - That Dam - Wat Si Saket - COPE Visitor Centre

My 3 days in Vientiane itinerary journey to Laos began with a visit to Pha That Luang, a towering golden stupa considered the national symbol of Laos. It's so tall and shiny, and it's like it holds all the stories of Laos from long, long ago. It made me feel like I was stepping back in time to when kings ruled and big empires thrived.

After that, I was amazed by a trip to the grand Patuxay monument, which is like a big arch resembling the one in Paris called the Arc de Triomphe. It's decorated with detailed sculptures showing stories from Lao mythology, which gave me a peek into their rich culture.

Then, I visited That Dam, a serene pagoda surrounded by beautiful greenery. Inside, I admired the intricate mosaics on the walls, which depicted stories from Buddhism. The atmosphere was calm, filled with a sense of quiet worship, and I felt a peacefulness within me. I decided to explore culinary delights on my own for dinner in Noy's Fruit Heaven, one of the best restaurants in Vientiane.

As the day progresses, my 3 days in vientiane head towards Wat Sisaket, the oldest remaining temple in Vientiane that attracts many tourists to visit this “land of million elephants”. At the end of my first day, I visited the Cope Visitor Center, which is packed with information about Laos's issue with unexploded bombs and mines. Here, I learned a lot about UXO, the destruction they cause, and the help COPE provides to those affected. I had dinner on my own, and then I settled in for an overnight stay in Vientiane.

2. Day 2 : Lao National Museum - Buddha Park - Wat Si Muang - Ho Phra Keo - Vientiane night market

I started my second day of vientiane 3-day itinerary at the Lao National Museum, where I got to check out some really cool ancient artefacts. These artefacts helped me know more about Laos's history, the traditions still practised today. From ancient pottery to stunning fabrics, each display gave me a glimpse into the heart of this captivating country.
Seeking relief from the scorching midday sun, I found solace in the serene oasis of Buddha Park. The park was vast, filled with numerous Buddha statues to admire. It was incredibly peaceful and quiet, a refreshing escape from the bustling city life.

What to do in Vientiane in 3 days? A visit to Vientiane wouldn't be complete without a stop at Wat Si Muang, a revered temple housing an ancient Buddha statue. Kneeling in front of the weathered figure, I felt a sense of tranquillity wash over me, surrounded by the murmurs of prayers and the gentle clinking of alms bowls.

Transitioning from spiritual reflection to royal grandeur, I explored Ho Phra Keo, one of the best Vientiane temples, the former royal temple in Laos. The temple sparkles with mosaics and golden surfaces. Looking at it, we see the majesty of the Lao dynasty. Gentle Buddha statues bring a feeling of peace.

The perfect end to my day is immersing myself in the lively atmosphere of the Vientiane Night Market. The air buzzed with the chatter of vendors and the tempting scents of local cuisine. I chose to enjoy meat skewers, fragrant sticky rice, cool coconut water, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of this market.

On my last day of my 3 days in vientiane trip, I treated myself to a soothing White Lotus massage, which left me feeling calm and refreshed. It was the perfect way to start my final adventure - exploring the bustling Ta Tat Lat morning market.
