Our adventure began as we arrived in Da Nang, where we were warmly greeted by the tour team at the airport and transferred to our hotel. What to do in Da Nang? At 8:00 am the next day, our driver and guide met us in the hotel lobby to take us on a scenic cable car ride to Ba Na Hills. The views of the hills and forests along the way were breathtaking. At the top, we explored the highlights, including the famous Golden Bridge with its giant hands, the French village with its charming architecture, and the Le Jardin D'Amour gardens. We also visited the Linh Ung Pagoda and had fun sliding down the thrilling tube slides and watching a lively carnival performance. After a delicious buffet lunch, we explored one of Vietnam’s largest indoor entertainment parks, featuring a Dinosaur park, 3D and 5D cinemas, and over 90 exciting games for all ages. The day ended with a relaxing cable car ride back down, and we were dropped off at our hotel for a free evening.

The next day in our 5-day family tour, we headed to Hoi An to explore its ancient town. What to do in Hoi An? We visited several historical sites, including the Quan Cong Temple, dedicated to the famous Chinese general, and the Phuc Kien Pagoda, a symbol of the town’s rich Chinese heritage. The iconic Japanese Bridge, built in the 16th century, was a highlight, as was the Tan Ky Ancient House, one of the oldest homes in the town. The atmosphere of Hoi An is like stepping back in time, with its narrow streets, traditional wooden houses, and vibrant lanterns. We also enjoyed some free time to wander around and shop for traditional Ao Dai dresses. It was a perfect day for soaking in the culture and history of this UNESCO World Heritage town.

On day three, we set off for Hue, a city rich in history and culture. The drive took us along the scenic Hai Van Pass, offering stunning coastal views. We also stopped at Lang Co Bay, one of the most beautiful bays in the world, and explored Lap An Lagoon.

Once in Hue, we visited the Khai Dinh Tomb, a grand royal tomb, and had lunch at a local restaurant, sampling some of Hue’s famous dishes. Afterward, we toured the Imperial City, a UNESCO World Heritage site that once housed the Nguyen emperors. The day ended with a peaceful dragon boat ride on the Perfume River, providing a perfect conclusion to our exploration of Hue’s rich history.

On day four, we traveled to Phong Nha, stopping at several historical sites along the way. First, we visited La Vang, an important Catholic pilgrimage site, and then explored the historic Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River, which marked the division between North and South Vietnam during the war.

What to do in Phong Nha? After a relaxing lunch, we continued to Phong Nha and embarked on a boat ride up the river to Phong Nha Cave. The stunning karst mountains and the serene river life along the way made this experience unforgettable. We stayed overnight in Phong Nha, a peaceful and beautiful area surrounded by nature.

On our final day in 5 day-tour family, we explored Paradise Cave, the longest dry cave in Southeast Asia, which was a truly awe-inspiring experience. We walked through the first kilometer of the cave, marveling at the incredible stalactites and stalagmites. After lunch, we headed to Dark Cave, where we donned specialized gear and ventured into the cave’s depths. The natural mud bath was a highlight for everyone, and we had a great time zip-lining and relaxing by the Chay River. Our tour ended with a return to Dong Hoi, where we were dropped off at the airport, reflecting on all the wonderful memories we had created over the past few days.
