Our 3-day Kon Tum trekking itinerary started at dawn, with the whole group excitedly preparing for this unique adventure. After a light breakfast, we hit the road towards the foot of the majestic Ngoc Linh Mountain. After a four-hour drive, we finally arrived at the foot of Ngoc Linh Mountain, where we had lunch before embarking on our adventure in the early afternoon.
The trek to the Ngoc Linh summit is much more than just a trek; it is a true conquest of nature. From the start, we were immersed in the mysterious and wild atmosphere of this region. The first step consisted of navigating winding and sometimes steep paths, making each step both a challenge and a source of excitement. The deeper we went into the forest, the more we crossed small streams, where the crystal clear water flowed gently, creating a soothing melody.
As we explored deeply into the forest, the richness of the flora and fauna amazed us. When we reached the top, the majestic panorama, with floating clouds, transported us to a fairyland, where time seemed suspended, and every moment was an unforgettable experience.
On the second day of our 3-day trekking in Kon Tum, our guide woke us up early to admire the sunrise, followed by a breakfast in the wilderness, while chasing the clouds above the terraced fields. Under the golden morning light, a harmony of greens stretched as far as the eye could see, creating a soothing and magical atmosphere. This experience, truly unforgettable during our trek to the summit of Ngoc Linh, left a profound impression on our memories, marking the unique beauty of the central highlands of Vietnam.
At 6:30 am, all members set off to conquer Ngoc Linh Summit, which we reached before noon. This majestic peak is about 2,598 meters above sea level, surrounded by mountain ranges such as Ngoc Phan, Ngoc Lum Heo, Muong Hoong and Ngoc Bon Son. Ngoc Linh is the highest point in the central region and the second highest in the country, after Hoang Lien Son mountain range. Famous among tourist destinations in Kon Tum, this wild peak awakened a burning desire to explore and venture to this imposing mountain.
On the third day, we woke up early to watch the last sunrise over Ngoc Linh peak, where the landscape was bathed in golden light. We then took the bus back to Kon Ray town to bathe in the hot mineral springs, a much-needed relief after the tiring days of trekking. The pleasant warmth of the water refreshed us as we enjoyed the serenity of the place. We then tasted local specialties, feeling the unique flavors of this land. These experiences were the perfect end to our 3-day trekking in Kon Tum, leaving us with precious memories and a deep attachment to the place.
