Between 8:00 and 8:30 AM, your journey begins with a limousine van pick-up from Hanoi’s Old Quarter (available for an extra fee, separate from the cruise booking). You’ll be transferred to the breathtaking Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its natural beauty.
Upon arriving at Tuan Chau Port between 11:30 and 12:00, the friendly crew will greet you at the lounge before you board the Emperor Cruise. After a brief orientation, check into your cabin and settle in. A delicious Vietnamese set lunch will be served at the Panorama Lounge on the 3rd deck, where you can admire the stunning views of Halong Bay through floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
Afternoon
After lunch, spend some time enjoying the magnificent scenery as the cruise ship approaches your first destination. The journey starts with a visit to Me Cung Cave (Cave of Maze), a fascinating site that feels like a natural museum filled with archaeological treasures and ancient artifacts.
Next, head to Tung Sau Area, where you’ll have free time to explore the scenic surroundings by kayaking. Paddle through the calm, crystal-clear waters and take in the remarkable landscape.

Between 8:00 and 8:30 AM, your journey begins with a departure from Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where a limousine will transfer you to Tuan Chau Marina (transfer service is not included in the cruise price and can be booked separately in the next step). Upon arrival at the pier around 11:30 AM to noon, the crew will warmly welcome you in the lounge before you board the Emperor Cruise and begin your voyage through Halong Bay.
After a safety briefing and introduction to the captain and crew, a delicious lunch will be served at the Panorama Restaurant on the 3rd deck. As you enjoy your meal, take in the breathtaking scenery of Halong Bay’s majestic limestone formations.
Afternoon
The afternoon offers a guided tour to Me Cung Cave, a fascinating site with rich historical and archaeological significance, showcasing artifacts from Halong culture dating back over 10,000 years. You’ll be amazed by its intricate structure and impressive stalagmites in various shapes.
Next, visit the Tung Sau Area, renowned for its pearl cultivation and one of the most picturesque spots in the bay for kayaking. Take this opportunity to unwind as you paddle through the crystal-clear waters and breathe in the fresh sea air.
Afterward, return to the cruise for some free time. You can savor afternoon tea with music and canapés on the sundeck, followed by a Vietnamese cooking class where you'll learn how to make traditional spring rolls.
