Da Nang, central Vietnam's largest coastal city and major port, is a vital economic, cultural, and educational center with over one million residents. It offers beautiful beaches, the famous Marble Mountains, vibrant nightlife, and delicious cuisine, attracting tourists. Historically, it played a significant role in the Vietnam War. Recently, rapid growth, foreign investment, and hosting international events have enhanced its global standing.

During the French period, Da Nang was known as Tourane. It became a Western-style city with significant investment in infrastructure and industries such as agriculture, handicrafts, and processing for export. Ship repair and services also flourished. Tourane was a crucial commercial center in Vietnam alongside Hai Phong and Saigon.
In 1950, the French handed over Da Nang to the Bao Dai government.

How to get Da Nang city from Hanoi ?

- Da Nang, accessible by air, has the Da Nang International Airport served by domestic airlines like Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, and Viettravel Airline.

- Travelers can also reach Da Nang by train, with connections from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, and Ninh Binh.

- If coming from Hoi An (25km away), taking a taxi is a convenient option.

- For those traveling from Quang Binh (Phong Nha Ke Bang), local buses or trains provide transportation to Da Nang.
