Your Tuk Tuk will then take you on a brief ride to the open-air National Museum, Cambodia’s largest museum of cultural history. Parts of the temple, originally constructed from wood, were renovated in 1998. During this renovation, an emerald statue—believed to be over 180 years old—was discovered, giving the temple its second name, Wat Keo Moni Chort (Emerald Temple). At the front of the complex stand two golden Buddhist columns, each 53 meters tall, near the northern Preah Keo Preah Kor temple and the southern Bak Sei Chamkrong temple. Sadly, Bak Sei Chamkrong was destroyed by a landslide in 2020.

Take time to wander through the complex, then proceed to the Main Pagoda, where you’ll receive a traditional water blessing from local monks inside its beautifully decorated and vibrant hall.

The food was just sensational! And, overall, nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic experience.
