I. What to Visit in Can Tho? Overview of a 2-Day Itinerary in Can Tho

At first, we didn’t know what to do in Can Tho because, as you know, we’re not locals, so we genuinely took into account the advice from the advisory department. We were offered several travel programs, which I really appreciated due to the variety of entertainment options provided by the agency. To be honest, we weren’t entirely sure about choosing Ba Lang village in Can Tho because, through word of mouth, it seemed a bit too commercialized. However, everything changed once we visited it ourselves. For me, it feels like an ecosystem that hasn’t yet been fully exploited by humans, so everything there still feels pristine and wild. Near Ba Lang Village in Can Tho, I received a recommendation to visit the Cai Rang floating market and the Binh Thuy ancient house, both of which turned out to be well worth the trip. The following day, we explored the fruit gardens in Can Tho, which are also a must-visit in Southern Vietnam. The fruits were fresh, of great quality, and much more affordable than what we’d find in France. With so many activities to enjoy, we had a memorable time, and all we paid for was the cost of the travel program, which was surprisingly affordable for such an enjoyable Southeast Asian getaway.

As I mentioned earlier, Ba Lang village in Can Tho is a unique destination that combines an outdoor pool, a zoo, and a hotel all in one place. We spent a wonderfully relaxing day there, with no issues at all. If you’re interested in experiencing local culture, the village also offers traditional Vietnamese folk games, which I found particularly meaningful. Our guide explained that these games reflect the childhood memories of many generations, including his own. And there was no reason why we shouldn't try it on our 2-day Ba Lang Can Tho trip.

Ba Lang village also features a guided tour of the zoo, where you can observe animals native to Vietnam, all of which are well cared for by the staff in this eco-friendly environment. My children especially enjoyed seeing the animals, and it was a delightful experience for the whole family. We also appreciated the breathtaking natural views that surrounded the area, making our stay even more special.

After some careful thought and the recommendation of our advisor, we decided to go with Ba Hien, as it offered fun and family-friendly activities that were perfect for my children.

As many of you know, Vietnam is famous for its tropical fruits, which can be quite pricey in European supermarkets. Visiting Ba Hien fruit garden was like stepping into a vibrant world of fresh, tropical produce. The lush landscape and diverse fruit trees created a peaceful, harmonious atmosphere, with the weather and views coming together perfectly. We had the chance to sample an array of juicy tropical fruits: mangoes, rambutans, mangosteens, and so many more. It felt like a fruit lover's paradise!
