During our 10 days in Southern Thailand beaches, we discovered many beaches that gave us an unforgettable experience. These long stretches of fine white sand and the captivating, clear blue sea have been the main attraction that drew us to visit Thailand.

But it's not just about swimming or participating in underwater activities like diving or coral reef watching; it's also an opportunity for us to explore the culture, cuisine, and unique way of life of this magnificent country. After spending 10 days in Southern Thailand beaches, we truly understood why these beaches are a true paradise.

II. Detailed itinerary of 10 days in Southern Thailand beaches

Day 1-3: Explore Phuket

Our 10 days in Southern Thailand beaches began in Phuket. Patong Beach was our first destination. This beach evokes sleepless nights and wild parties. Located in the most developed area of ​​Phuket, Patong offers a multitude of tourist services, resorts, and restaurants, guaranteeing an unforgettable experience.

On our second day, we explored the Phuket Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. During the 1-hour drive, we took in lush green hills and beautiful beaches. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an English-speaking guide who introduced us to the elephants and their fascinating history. Dressed in traditional clothing, we had the opportunity to feed these majestic animals bananas and sugarcane. As we wandered through the sanctuary, we were able to touch, photograph, and interact with them, while learning about their lifestyle.

Day 3 in Phuket, we visited Ko Tapu Island, also known as James Bond Island, where the famous film "The Man with the Golden Gun" was filmed in 1974. To visit the entire bay, you need at least half a day by boat. This place is famous for its limestone caves and massive systems of stalactites and stalagmites. They also offer scuba diving or snorkeling trips to explore the seabed. It's also one of the most beautiful sunset spots in Thailand, so it's very popular with tourists. We went there at 4:30 pm to get the best spot to watch the sunset.

Day 4-6: Adventure in Koh Phi Phi Island

Next, our 10 days in Southern ​​Thailand beaches continued on Koh Phi Phi Island. It is famous for its powdery white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and majestic limestone cliffs. This place is famous for Maya Bay —the setting for the movie "The Beach", but has a completely different beauty. Koh Phi Phi is an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts like us. With clear blue water and a rich marine ecosystem, we spent the entire fourth day diving and snorkeling to explore the colorful underwater world.

On our fifth day in Koh Phi Phi, we participated in an exciting climbing activity that allowed us to conquer high peaks and see the entire archipelago from above. The climb to the Phi Phi Viewpoint at 183 m will take about 20 minutes. In our experience, the best time to go to the Phi Phi viewpoint and admire this view is at sunrise or sunset.

Day 6, we chose to explore the surrounding bays. It was an exciting adventure during which we would enjoy the pristine natural beauty of Monkey Beach, Tonsai Bay, and many other places. One of the highlights of this excursion was the experience of snorkeling among the colorful coral reefs in the waters of Loh Samah Bay. It was a great opportunity for us to see the schools of fish and the marine life of Koh Phi Phi under the guidance of diving experts.

Day 7-9: Travel to Krabi

Goodbye Koh Phi Phi, our 10 days on the beaches of southern Thailand, then we moved on to Krabi, home to Phra Nang Beach. This beach is regularly ranked among the most beautiful in the world by prestigious travel magazines. We sailed through this region by boat, filling our phones' memory with stunning sunset photos.

Day 8 was dedicated to our visit to the local hot springs in Klong Thom district. Enjoy a dip in the mineral-rich water. It leaves us feeling extremely relaxed after many days of outdoor activities.

Next, we hiked and explored the surrounding rainforest, home to the Gurney's Pitta, a rare bird thought to be extinct. Continue to Emerald Lagoon, a 1,200-meter boardwalk that passes a series of clear pools, waterfalls, and streams, as well as hundreds of species of tropical trees and plants. We had the opportunity to swim in the clear blue waters of the lagoon.

On day 9 of our 10-day tour in Southern Thailand beaches, we visited the Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Sua), one of the most beautiful temples in Krabi. Nestled amidst vegetation and flowers, the temple features several caves with limestone stalactites and stalagmites. We climbed 1,000 steps to the top, where a golden temple and breathtaking views of Krabi Town and Khao Kanab Nam awaited us. We then returned to our hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 10: End of 10 days in Southern Thailand beaches

At the end of our 10-day beach holiday in Southern Thailand, we felt a deep sense of nostalgia. Every day was a discovery, from the soft sandy beaches to the crystal-clear waters. We explored bustling markets, sampled local cuisine, and met friendly people. The moments spent swimming and relaxing in the sun will remain etched in our memories. As we prepare to leave this paradise, we know these memories will stay with us for a long time.
