Khao Soi Khun Yai truly deserves its place among the best restaurants in Chiang Mai. This hidden gem was recommended by locals, and it didn’t disappoint. I ordered the beef Khao Soi, which was incredibly flavorful and authentic - one of the best I’ve had in Thailand. I also enjoyed a bottle of longan juice and water, and the total came to just 90 baht (around £2). The restaurant is only open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, so be sure to get there early. We arrived around 11:00 and the place was already nearly full.
