Starting from Phnom Penh, we were excited to begin our 3-day itinerary in Sihanoukville, designed by the Cambodia travel company Autour Asia. It truly was a relaxing and wonderful holiday on the beautiful beaches and the stunning island of Koh Rong Sanloem.
During this trip, we enjoyed the breathtaking natural landscapes of Ream National Park through a boat tour, visited floating villages, and discovered local life in Sihanoukville. Our 3-day family trip to Sihanoukville began early in the morning in Phnom Penh. The drive to this southern Cambodian province took about 3 hours. By noon, we arrived at Ream National Park. This park is home to a variety of wildlife species. Our children had the chance to see elephants, tigers, bears, monkeys, and several reptiles. The vegetation was equally diverse, including tropical forests, mangroves, and beautiful meadows.
We had a barbecue lunch in the park, then rested before continuing our visit to the nearby village of Ream. The village is characterized by stilt houses built in the traditional Khmer style. In our Sihanoukville itinerary 3 days, it was the perfect opportunity to experience the local culture and daily life. After meeting the villagers, we visited the Ream National Park Museum and the Ream Temple to learn more about the history and significance of this beautiful region.

The boat took us to the most beautiful spot for diving, where we were lucky enough to see not only corals but also seahorses, sea cucumbers, and a variety of fish, creating a small marine ecosystem. This was one of the highlights of our 3-day itinerary in Sihanoukville.
We then took some time to relax at Otres Beach, swimming, sunbathing, and kayaking together. Finally, we took the boat back to our hotel in Sihanoukville.
On our last morning in Sihanoukville, my wife and I took a stroll along the beach, admiring the sunlight reflecting off the white sand, creating a truly dazzling spectacle. It was a stunning setting. After that, we said goodbye to the beaches and made our way back to Phnom Penh, with all those wonderful memories in our minds.
