La Folie lodge Champasak Laos is a special find, away from the usual tourist spots, but still very near Champasak city and the amazing Vat Phu. Here, you can discover the traditional Laotian lifestyle, going around the island and talking with the friendly local staff. Rooms are spacious and have a beautiful terrace that overlooks the Mekong River. The food here is the tastiest we've had in Laos, especially the Sin Dat on the beach – it's a unique experience. They have a small yet wonderful spa too. Thank you for the warm welcome!

The staff here, especially Mr. Phommakarn who manages the restaurant, are always friendly, professional, and super helpful. He can speak English, French, and Lao. The ground is beautiful and perfectly maintained, and they even have real rice fields in the landscape! October is the best time to visit Champasak because the Mekong River looks amazing, and the mountains and valleys are beautifully green.

You can't miss this hotel sitting atop a small hill with a view of the entire city. From the room of Champasak Grand Hotel, you can admire a beautiful view of the Mekong river and surroundings. They serve a really good breakfast buffet in the mornings.

We had an amazing time here! The hosts were amazing, the restaurant was great (try the Pad Thai and mango dessert!) We borrowed bikes to explore town, rode along the rice paddy trail, and visited the Khmer ruins. The room and the resort's design were beautiful—very modern and clean. We loved relaxing on the patio, watching the sunset with a BeerLao. The hosts even helped us sort out travel plans and mailed back my forgotten iPad from Thailand! Highly recommend it!

Stayed for 3 nights in a spacious room with a super comfy bed (softer than most beds in Southeast Asia). Pakse Hotel Restaurant in Champasak is well-kept, the staff are really helpful, and breakfast is plentiful. The rooftop bar and restaurant are the best - incredible view of the city and the Mekong, plus tasty food and drinks. There's also a fantastic massage shop just across the road.

A fantastic restaurant and guest house in a prime location by the Mekong River! The food is delicious, the rooms facing the river are superb, and you can even swim in the Mekong at sunrise. The service is personable, friendly and excellent. If you come to southern Lao you shouldn’t miss staying and eating here.
